Job Summary:
We are seeking an International Trade Paralegal to support attorneys in the International Trade Remedy Practice Group. This role involves managing large and complex cases, including anti-dumping and countervailing duty matters. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment. Key responsibilities include preparing and filing legal documents, conducting legal research, and supporting attorneys throughout litigation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute APO and public version filings with the U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Department of Commerce, Court of International Trade, and Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
- Manage case materials using litigation support tools to ensure clear case organization.
- Assist in drafting legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Conduct cite checking, Shepardizing, and online research using legal research platforms.
- Support client or third-party communications as needed.
- Assist attorneys in preparation for hearings and provide on-site support.
- Utilize web-based investigative skills to develop and implement litigation strategies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate required.
- Filing experience in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations preferred.
- Familiarity with the U.S. Department of Commerce docketing system (ACCESS) and the U.S. International Trade Commission docketing system (EDIS) is strongly preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Experience with litigation support software, including Relativity, Ringtail, Summation, Concordance, Case Map, Text Map, Time Map, and Trial Director.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of legal procedures and document preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry/analysis skills.
