Job Summary: The Washer is responsible for loading, unloading, and performing daily maintenance on the parts washer to ensure efficient and effective operation. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of equipment, contributing to overall production efficiency and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, operate, and perform daily maintenance on an automatic parts washer.
- Utilize manual spray systems as a backup cleaning method.
- Transfer materials between shop departments as required.
- Cross-train on different tasks within the department to support operational flexibility.
- Enter confirmed operation figures into the SAP system.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and department goals.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Prior experience in a fluid power industry or manufacturing environment preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Forklift Certification required to operate a forklift, including RAYMOND upright models.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of SAP or similar inventory/production tracking systems.
- Ability to safely handle and transport parts and materials between departments.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
