Job Summary
The Information Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization's information security strategy. This role involves managing security initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of security frameworks, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Duties
- Take ownership of project charters and define delivery plans.
- Plan for, schedule and run regular project related meetings and working sessions.
- Manage dependencies and conflict of priorities.
- Managing key stakeholders through regular, transparent communication.
- Chair and provide resource prioritization and management sessions.
- Document and escalate any risks, issues and/or blockers.
- Accurate and timely report of project status and progress.
- Own and manage the project financials, resources and time.
Skills, and Abilities:
- Previous experience in delivering information security projects preferred.
- Previous experience working in Financial Services or other regulated industries preferred.
- Ability to work under time constraints.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritize effectively.
- Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative and drive decision making.
- A team player who can work with a team of diverse backgrounds, personalities, and skill sets.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Effective communication with the business and senior managers.
- Ability to convey technical scenarios to non-technical peers..
