We are Systems, LLC a leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. We continue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.
This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions; make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc, and (ii) perform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenance
Machine Shop Operator II Job Responsibilities:
- Set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions; make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc
- Perform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenance
- Proficiently operate iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other equipment
- Utilize inspection gauges such as dial calipers, protractors, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine appropriate operations to be performed
- Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification
- Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables to load/unload material
- Route parts and components to the proper department or storage location
- Label materials produced and scan shop orders within an ERP system
- Efficiently prioritize workload and use of available resources with time constraints
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Machine Shop Operator II Job Requirements:
- No minimum education required
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32"
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other related equipment
The pay for this position is $18.75 an hour; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefit
