The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position. The primary teaching responsibilities will be kinesiology undergraduate courses in Foundations of Kinesiology, Principles of Wellness, Motor Development, Motor Skill Acquisition, Essentials of Coaching, and Sport and Recreation Management.
Typical Duties/Job Duties

Typical Duties/Job Duties
- Teach primarily undergraduate courses, but assignments at the graduate level are also possible;
- Serve as faculty advisor and facilitate successful programming of the department student organization Kappa Mu Omega;
- Coordinate the Developing Leaders in Sport initiative;
- Serve on department, college, and university committees;
- Continue or develop scholarly research, including supervising student research projects
- Supervise, mentor, and advise students;
- Participate in community service and professional development activities
- Additional summer teaching possible but dependent on enrollment.
- Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
- A welcoming and inclusive approach to students is essential.
- Candidates must be competent in various course development and delivery models (face-to-face, hybrid, online).
- The candidate must be dedicated to excellence in teaching and scholarship with a strong commitment to high professional standards.
- Candidates should have a terminal degree in Kinesiology, Recreation, Sport Management, Sport Pedagogy or a related field.
- ABD will be considered.
- College teaching experience preferred.
- Professional experience in the Kinesiology, Recreation, Sport Management, Sport Pedagogy or related fields;
- Evidence of excellent teaching;
- Experience developing and supervising extracurricular programming for students;
- Potential for excellence in scholarly research;
- Online teaching experience;
- Ability to procure external funding.
