Georgia State University will be accepting applications for Graduate Assistantships in the Department of Recreational Services for 2024-2025, working in the award-winning 161,112 sq. ft. Student Recreation Center. We are seeking candidates with recreation experience in the areas of student staff development specific to programming and operations. Also, we're looking for team members who are enthusiastic, hardworking, and have the desire to learn new skills relevant to their career development. Experience in supervision, programming, and a commitment to quality customer service is a must. Georgia State University is located in Atlanta, Georgia with an enrollment of over 50,000 students. We also coordinate programming at Panthersville, an outdoor lighted multi-purpose athletic field area, and the Indian Creek Recreation Area which includes a multipurpose lodge, outdoor pool, event lawn, sand volleyball, as well as a state-of-the-art ropes course and Outpost for the challenge program. The department also offers recreation opportunities at our five Perimeter campus locations. There are many exciting opportunities for graduate students to be involved with the Georgia State University Department of Recreational Services. Qualifications: Qualifications are particular to each position and program area. All positions will have specific degree requirements. General qualifications include excellent customer service skills, the ability to work as a team player, initiative, and excellent communication skills.
