Key Responsibilities
As an Direct Support Professional at a Behavioral Site, you will :
Be responsible for implementing individuals' Behavioral and Mental Health plans, as well as working with them to achieve their goals
Support the values and foundation of Applied Behavior Analysis as well as Positive Behavioral Supports
Teach people the skills to necessary to carry out daily living tasks which could include bathing, preparing meals, assistance with transportation, and learning to manage their own behavior and mental health needs
Write documentation about the supports you provided during your shift
Requirements
At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written forms in order to provide necessary supports and produce a variety of documentation which meets or exceeds state and agency standards
Ability to implement and provide highly intensive behavioral support needs and other behavior intervention strategies, including physical intervention techniques
At least one year of experience supporting people with behavior support needs preferred
Valid Drivers License preferred
