SYSTEMTEC is seeking an Cobol Programmer professional to join our team in Columbia, SC. Core skills COBOL/APS, mainframe/enterprise systems.
Insurance background, 837 or other X12 transactions, NDVR/TSO, DB2/IMS, CICS transactions
Core Work hours - 8 hrs daily, M-F. (eastern) Typical work day is 8am-5pm EST, but a slight flexible schedule can be accommodated as long as core hours of 9am-3pm are included. OT/weekends as needed, oncall rotation!
Onsite (Currently working a partial onsite schedule - Tuesday and Wednesday onsite and as needed)
Required Qualifications of the Cobol Programmer:
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other related field. Degree Equivalency: 2 year degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and 2 years of reporting and data analysis work experience. OR 4 years reporting and data analysis experience
- You will start coding from technical specifications, testing changes, performing peer code walkthroughs, debugging issues, and migrating through system all the way to production
- Must understand COBOL/APS, mainframe/enterprise systems
- Nice To Have: background, 837 or other X12 transactions, NDVR/TSO, DB2/IMS, CICS
Work Location: Columbia, SC - Partially Onsite (Typical onsite Tues/Thurs, remote M,W,F) - Will need to be flexible per business needs Standard Work Hours: 8-5
