SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for an On-Site opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidate will be responsible for configuring, installing, and maintaining desktop software and hardware.

Required Qualifications of the Desktop Support Technician:
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
Associate s degree (Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree) Highly Desired
2 years of Technical Operations Support experience
Must be able to provide consultation to IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software
Must understand operating systems imaging concepts and be able to make recommendations on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements
A Certification is Highly Desired

Responsibilities of the Desktop Support Technician:
Will be responsible for software installation, troubleshooting applications and rebuilding workstations
Provides technical support and guidance to users
Monitors/updates dispatch system and works incoming tickets as assigned
Provides troubleshooting, technical support and development of end-user guidelines.
Configures, installs, monitors, and maintains IT users workstation software and hardware
Ensures proper backing up of data from user workstations and that tools and equipment are licensed and approved by IT purchasing
Ensures proper configuration and adherence to security configurations and settings

Work Location: On-Site in Columbia, SC.
