ESY Academic Instructors Summer 25
Summer Program: July 7, 2025 - August 14, 2025
3 days (Tue - Thurs) available for hours between 9:00AM- 12:00PM (flexible)
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts licensure in special education required.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of specially designed instruction in one or more areas (e.g., Reading, Math, ELA, Wilson, LIPS, Orton Gillingham) as an inclusion special education teacher or as a special education teacher of a substantially separate program.
- Such other alternatives as the Director of Student Services may deem acceptable and appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as teacher providing direct individual and / or small group instruction to students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs.
- Work in concert with other special needs staff, related services providers, specialists, and administrative personnel to develop and implement viable extended year programming for special education students.
- Complete progress reports, behavior support plans, communication logs, data sheets, and other data as required by local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Participate in staff meetings as needed, providing updates and advice to the team, including parents and guardians.
- Work collaboratively with the ESY Coordinator and colleagues to provide effective student support.
- Such other responsibilities may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Student Services and the Extended School Year Coordinator.
Salary: In accordance with FEA contract
