JOB TITLE: Substitute Teacher
REPORTS TO: Principal/Assistant Principal
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides learning experiences by following the lesson plans developed by the lead teacher.
- Manages the conduct and behavior in the classroom.
- Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the building principal/assistant principal.
WORKING CONDITIONS/EXPECTATIONS
Working in a school setting. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy indoor environment with work inside about 85% of the time and work outside about 15% of the work schedule. Ability to stand/sit and/or squat for extended periods of time. Perform other duties that may be assigned.
We are instituting a new substitute system for 2024-2025. It will be managed through the Frontline Absence Management System. Subs will be required to download an app to their phone for notifications of openings. Substitutes will be able to self-select one or multiple schools in which to work and/or from which to get notifications.
In August 2024, we will require attendance at an orientation prior to the school year starting to provide information, training and to answer any questions you may have about the operations day to day. Dates are TBD, but you will be notified via email. All new hiring will happen through the Human Resources office.
PAY RATE: $100/day
