East Central Indiana beverage distributor is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing existing client relationships, driving sales growth, and expanding our market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to maximize sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities to increase revenue.
- Conduct regular sales visits and meetings with clients to understand their needs, address any concerns, and provide product recommendations.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and develop effective strategies to drive sales and meet targets
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as marketing and logistics, to ensure smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and efficient customer service.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the industry.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows/promotions, and samplings/tastings to promote our brands and foster relationships with potential and existing clients.
Requirements:
- Self-starter with proven experience in account management.
- Product presentation and merchandising experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical and results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using new software – particularly Microsoft Office and sales analysis tools.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation to visit client locations.
- Formal education preferred.
