SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER COUNSELOR - MUST BE LICENSED IN DC
ABOUT US:
T and N Services and Solutions is a Substance Use Disorder Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Clinic dedicated to providing person-centered services tailored to the needs of our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and licensed addictions counselor to join our dynamic team.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient knowledge of diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders in accordance with DSM-V and ASAM PPC-II, as well as therapeutic intervention techniques and various substance abuse treatment modalities.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in identifying signs of patient impairment and conducting substance use detection screenings.
- Proven clinical skills for accurately documenting information and efficiently completing written reports, statistics, and clinical records in a timely manner.
- Understanding of the care and needs of the emotionally challenged population..
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Active listening skills.
- Ability to comprehend, plan, direct, and coordinate activities to meet overall program standards.
- Effective collaboration with clients, their families, outside agencies, and staff while maintaining confidentiality
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individual and group counseling following individualized treatment plans and professional standards.
- Create, maintain, and submit accurate records and documents in a timely manner.
- Stay current on assessment and treatment techniques, criminal justice systems, and community resources.
- Provide crisis support to clients.
- Manage client and outcomes tracking in the client database.
JOB TYPE: Full-time
WORK LOCATION: Remote and in-office
SALARY: This is a 1099 contractor position with minimum weekly billable hour requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role operates in a professional office environment and the community, using standard office equipment.
TRAVEL:
Within the Washington, D.C. Metro Area; Telehealth is also available.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Valid DC clinical license (CAC I, CACII, LPC, LISAC, LCSW, etc.)
