Responsibilities
SVP, Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day management of Deposit Operations, ensuring seamless banking processes.
- Coordinate activities with direct reports, including Branch Managers, VP of Electronic Banking, and the Electronic Banking Support Specialist, to maintain adequate staffing and cross-training.
- Assist customers when necessary with account opening, teller transactions, Reg E disputes, check adjustments, and miscellaneous banking requests.
- Ensure Deposit Operations staff receive adequate training, including online training courses.
- Monitor and review subordinate work to ensure documentation standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular branch reviews to verify compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain deposit account products, rates, and banking core system parameters.
- Oversee reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Security Officer
- Ensure all bank personnel receive training on branch security and deposit operations security, including robbery awareness.
- Provide an annual security report to the Board of Directors.
- Ensure all branches perform regular alarm testing to verify security system functionality.
- Maintain and distribute a current contact information form outlining burglary procedures to applicable employees.
- Ensure branch contact information remains updated with the bank’s security provider.
Job SpecificationsEducation:
- Four-year college degree or an appropriate combination of work experience and education in the banking industry.
Position Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role within banking or a closely related field.
- At least two (2) years in a management role overseeing deposit operations or security functions.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
