Job Description : We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Design Manager to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and coordinating design efforts for multi-family construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-family construction, building information modeling (BIM), and a proven track record in managing people and external teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the design process for multi-family construction projects from conception through completion.
- Utilize your minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-family construction to drive project design excellence.
- Leverage 3-5 years of BIM experience to enhance the efficiency and quality of project delivery.
- Manage, mentor, and develop in-house design team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Coordinate and oversee external design teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating high levels of organization and transparency.
- Spearhead the growth and development of a new, evolving department within the company.
- Implement and refine the Design Build Process, collaborating closely with Pre-Construction and Construction Operations to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee design team contracts, both in-house and with third-party clients, ensuring compliance with budget and project requirements.
- Partner with technology implementation manager to drive forward the adoption of new technologies within the design process.
- Maintain and cultivate customer and client relationships, upholding the company's reputation for quality and professionalism.
