Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and eagar Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing team. This role involves developing and implementing Quality Control (QC) policies, conducting audits, managing warranties and ensuring that products or services meet the established standards. The Senior QA Manager collaborates with various departments to enhance quality processes and works towards continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor the QA and Warranty team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and development of QA and Warranty staff.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of QC and Warranty policies and procedures.
- Relay repeat warranty issues back to the Director of Project Integration to help implement into Design Management Criteria’s.
- Relay QC concerns back to the Director of Project Integration and Director of Construction Operations.
- Maintain professional working relationships with Construction Operations and Property Management
- Be the liaison between Construction and Property Management
Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Define and implement QA/QC strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Establish quality benchmarks to measure the performance of products and services.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Warranty Strategy:
- Define and implement Warranty strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Establish quality benchmarks and processes while working hand in hand with Property Management.
- Educate Property Management in the processes and expectations associated with best practices.
- Work with Construction Operations to identify required documents.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in the quality assurance process and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Audits and Inspections:
- Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
- Prepare for and manage external audits and inspections.
- Report findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Reports to be provided to the Director of Project Integration after each site visit.
- Act as the owner’s representative for In House Construction projects by completing unit acceptance walks with Construction Operations.
- Assist in defining expectations of project acceptances with 3rd party clients.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Management, Construction Operations, and Property Management.
- Communicate quality issues and resolutions to Director of Project Integration
- Provide training and guidance to other departments on quality standards and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of QA/QC activities.
- Generate regular reports on quality and warranty metrics and performance.
- Ensure that documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards.
Software Utilization:
- Utilize Procore to manage QA process
- OpenSpace 360 Camera Recording
- Utilize Procore for Warranty Management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Multi-Family/Residential construction.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and personalities.
- Proven expertise in handling warranty contracts and client relations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to embrace and drive change.
- A keen interest in technology and its application in the construction industry.
- A high level attention to detail.
