JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other members of Human Resources team. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas : ancillary recruitment support, licensure verification and tracking, student programs, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Associate's degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
2 years of administrative support experience required.
Human Resources experience preferred.

- Experience in establishing high standards of service delivery to customers and clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General Human Resource Responsibilities
Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate team member. Will transfer a caller to a team member's voice mailbox when the team member is unavailable.
Greets and directs visitors.
Takes and retrieves messages for various team members.
Provides callers and applicants with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company website and other related information.
Responds to external reference checks and verification of employment.
Assists in planning and hosting organization wide events.
Recruitment Support Responsibilities
Supports recruitment for the ancillary services division.
Completes reference checks on applicants, background checks on applicants, etc.
Manages verification of licensure for the ancillary division
Completes appropriate portion of the new hire checklists and submits in a timely manner
Student Program Responsibilities
Coordinates with local schools to develop programs for students within the organization
Develops and coordinates an orientation program for students
Works with schools / students to find departments and preceptors that align with the student's interests
Ensures that all qualifications are met for students to complete a rotation with the organization
HRIS Responsibilities
Assists with projects in the HRIS system.
Preserves confidentiality of employee documentation and files.
