T&M Associates is currently seeking a highly motivated Controls / Automation Engineer to join our Electrical & Automation team in any of our NJ offices. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with in-office collaboration. This position leads the execution of controls projects, including designing controls architecture, specifying instrumentation, programming PLCs / SCADA / HMIs, and commissioning and starting up processes. Strong client interface skills are required.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to :
- Leading and supporting controls and communications designs for large municipal water and wastewater projects; industrial projects for fortune 500 companies, utility energy, and environmental, and transportation clients.
- Work effort will include design and specification of control panel power distribution, , communications systems, grounding, and control architecture for PLC-base control systems
- Support the proposal process in the Department by developing Bill of Materials, coordinating with subcontractors, material suppliers, and panel builders, etc.
- Performing PLC, SCADA, and HMI programing and screen development – using variety of hardware / software providers. Ability to perform commissioning / startup of systems and training of operators, required
