JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective The sales support representative is responsible for a variety of tasks that allow for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent in-depth knowledge of company policies, procedures, products, and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the organization.
The core duties and responsibilities revolve around supporting others. On any given day, they may perform a variety of tasks that are identified by the management team.
Essential Functions

1. Entering and processing customer quotes, stock orders, and order revisions.
2. Packaging customer orders for the Order Detailing / Order Writing department.
3. Creating internal communications for shipper documents.
4. Process sample requests for Distributors, Architects, and General Contractors.
5. Additional functions are required to support the Customer Service Team.
Competencies
1. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
2. Computer literate – word, excel, and PowerPoint.
3. AS400 experience preferred but willing to train.
4. Communication and organizational proficiency.
5. Teamwork Orientation.
6. Door industry knowledge.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
Required Education and Experience
1. A High School diploma is required.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Some college education is preferred.
2. Industry knowledge is preferred but not required.
