The Estimator is responsible for evaluating and preparing accurate cost estimates for products or services, ensuring competitive pricing, and supporting the sales team in developing proposals. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the company's product offerings, industry trends, and cost structures.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and requirements to generate accurate cost estimates.
  • Analyze labor, site specifications, material, and overhead costs to determine accurate pricing.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues within customer requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Track and update quoting system for proposal status and ensure timely delivery.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in estimating or relevant field.


Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role, ideally in furniture installation, construction, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation techniques and principles.
  • Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience with estimating software, ideally IQ Coordinator software or equivalent strongly preferred.
