Position Summary
The Installation Manager will be responsible for overseeing installation on job sites, ensuring specifications, team functionality, and customer service expectations are met or exceeded. This role requires in-depth furniture installation knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, customer service skills, and demonstrated project executions skills.
Core Responsibilities
- Assemble and install commercial furniture, including desks, chairs, cabinets, panels and components, providing hands-on support as needed and ensuring safety protocols are exceeded.
- Perform on-site measurements and assessments to ensure optimal installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently, providing recommendations for improving design or installation processes when necessary.
- Perform quality checks upon job completion to ensure all furniture is assembled and installed according to company standards and client specifications.
- Create daily progress reports capturing project progress, punch items, site conditions, and other information that affects the team’s progression.
- Proactively communicate with necessary leadership and team members to ensure smooth project execution, reporting and resolving status and/or issues.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects and address any issues that arise during installations.
- Train and mentor installers, providing guidance and support to improve their skills, knowledge, and efficiency.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a high-performing Installer.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs. with consistency.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Ability to work extensively under desktops; ability to regularly work bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling.
