Overview
The plant attendant contributes to the production environment at T. Marzetti by coordinating with the operators and forklift drivers to keep the production areas clean, organized, and running efficiently.
2nd Shift full-time schedule of 40 hours by working Monday through Friday from 3:25 pm - 11:55 pm. Overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Removes trash from production area and parking lot area
- Ensures restrooms are fully stocked and re-supplied after every shift
- Keeps the plant floors clean of trash and debris and also attends to the employee parking lot to make sure that it is clean
- Reports to the production managers / supervisors for assigned work for the day
- Helps and contributes to an environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and efficiency

Working Conditions/Environment
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, reach, lift and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 75 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more. Must be able to stand for an 8-10 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beardnets (if facial hair exists) and slip-resistant / steel-toed shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
