What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate - Finance - Supply Chain Financial Analyst position at T. Marzetti Company?
Coordinates and performs various accounting duties related to the completion of the Financial Close Process, sales & use tax, accounting for fixed assets, spare parts inventory and monitoring general ledger activity. The Financial Analyst also assists with creation of BOMs (bill of material), MUV (material usage variance) and monitoring spend for support areas in the production facility.
- Serves as Finance Business Partner (FBP) to Support Areas, to include spending time on production floor to better understand HC business, spend reviews and assisting with forecast (support spend)
- Under Finance Director’s leadership, lead Capital Management for site to develop strong FA process, partnering with Engineering and Maintenance teams to drive accurate business cases, cost savings tracking, prompt capitalizations and disposals. Also includes review of current Fixed Asset Register to ensure all assets properly maintained (disposed, capitalized, and assets charged to correct CCs)
- Spare Parts: Work with Maintenance to ensure proper accounting for spare parts and accurate inventory/cycle count process
- Partner with Sr Cost Analyst to ensure timely and accurate build of HC BOMs
- Partner with Sr Cost Analyst, local Planning and MOE teams, to drive MUV Process, specifically regarding scrap % and activity rates
- Annual AOP Duties: Assist with Depreciation Schedule, provide support for AOP build of Support areas, ensure accurate activity and scrap rates in SAP to support AOP
- Assist with SOX and Audit requests
- Sales & Use Tax Support, Tax Exemption Certificates for site
- Month-end Close: support close process and build of deck and tracking tools
- Assist with misc tasks/projects, as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred
- 1-3 years accounting or finance experience
- Ability to work in a team setting, drive team results and support change management within the organization
- Strong analytical skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a sense of urgency while meeting required time constraints
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel ability
