T. Marzetti Company is looking for someone to provide for the maintenance and repair of the plant's machinery, grounds, buildings and equipment. This is the entry level position in the maintenance classification and is expected to perform the job functions under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Sign-On Bonus Totaling $6000.00 Available!
3000.00 paid after the first 90 days of probation without attendance / performance / or behavior incident.
3000.00 paid after the second 90 days of probation without attendance / performance / or behavior incident.
Pay Rate $30.94-38.08 per hour depending upon reults of placement exam.
1.50 Night Shift Differential for all hours worked between 6pm to 6am.
12% 401K company contribution.
Two Paid Days Off for Birthday every year
This position will work 6 days per week including weekends on the 3pm-11pm shift.
SAFETY :
- Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
- Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT / STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields & and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility.
- Successfully acquires and maintains Company Industrial Truck and Lift Certification and safely performs all functions in accordance to OHSA and company requirements and standards.
- Performs proper housekeeping and uses appropriate personal protective equipment for tasks.
- Performs daily inspection of equipment with proper documentation.

Working Conditions / Environment
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read and comprehend, sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb and bend while working in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to push / pull 150 pounds short distances. Lifting of up to 75 pounds repetitively. Standing required for up to 12 hours shifts with regular breaks. May be required to work overtime and / or weekends as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts / equipment and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap. The noise level in the plant is loud.
SLIP-RESISTANT / Steel-toed SHOES, Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists) are required to be worn / used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards. Condition of these items must be inspected by employee daily and be replaced when no longer providing the optimal protection of the employee.
