Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions accurately, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively communicate with customers.
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and ensuring the store is clean and well-maintained.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support during shifts.
Skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base.
- Strong cash handling skills with experience operating a cash register.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math calculations.
- Proficient in upselling techniques to boost sales performance.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members clearly and professionally.
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
