Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems for processing transactions efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to effectively upsell items.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a well-presented shopping environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking and conducting regular stock checks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding customer feedback and store operations.
- Provide assistance in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic retail math is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction.
