We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. You will assist with stocking merchandise, operating the cash register, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently while handling cash transactions accurately.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to enhance the shopping experience.
- Assist in organizing promotional displays and merchandising products according to company standards.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
- Supervise junior staff or new associates as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork.
