The Data Governance and Protection Engineer’s primary role is to drive improvement in the delivery of integration between the Data Protection Tool (Ataccama) and its classifiers and the Data Governance Tool – Collibra as we deliver Metadata discovery - Data Scanning at Scale and through thought leadership, design influence, cross functional collaboration, integration through code building (Collibra-write APIs from Ataccama workflows) and technical engagement.

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and thought leadership in a collaborative, cross functional Data Governance environment with particular emphasis on the Ataccama Classifiers as they are used in Ataccama and Collibra using REGEX, configuration and AI.
- Provide consultation to the technical teams on how to integrate Ataccama and Collibra in near real time.
- Provide specific, actionable feedback to Product owners, Architecture, Development, Test, and Application Support teams to assure well-integrated, non-fragmented solutions, and that they address appropriate Data Protection and Automation concerns.
- Direct and consult on deep dives into extremely complex technical issues, their root causes, and their solutions.
- Standardize and evolve Data Protection and Governance processes to assure smooth automated process operations. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, visualization, analytical tools
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/ non-functional business requirements
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
- Work with stakeholder teams and team management to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
- Create data tools for analytics and data science team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product’s performance and effectiveness
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
- Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

- Bachelor's degree - Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience
- Data Management (DM) Analysis, Design and Development - 2 to 4 years of experience
- Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets – 2 to 4 years of experience
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement – 2 to 4 years of experience
- Experience in languages such as SQL, DAX, Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go – 2 to 4 years of experience
- Experience interfacing with business and Ataccama tool
- Strong/Expert level SQL skills
- Experience with Functional Specifications
- Experience with Systems Analysis
- Experience with Snowflake or other major RDBMs
- Ataccama Workflows from IDE
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Ability to manage work across multiple projects, good organizational skills
- At least 18 years of age
