The Senior Manager, Credit Risk Management is responsible for technical process support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 solutions, managing credit and collections strategy decision engine configurations for both new and existing customers, as well as the supporting technology capabilities and infrastructure that support that product in an Agile driven environment. This role combines technical expertise, strategic vision, and thought leadership to enhance team performance, improve process efficiencies, and drive the integration of emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, analytical expertise, and advanced communication abilities to guide the development and implementation of cutting-edge credit decisioning solutions.

Senior Manager is also responsible for attracting, hiring, retaining a high performing, team of Software Developers, architects, other members of technical staff, and Managers to support products and credit platforms. This role is also directly accountable for developing strong and productive relationships outside your direct teams with partner organizations, dependent IT engineering teams, and supporting vendors.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical direction to ensure the integrity and adaptability of the technical design throughout the solution's lifecycle. This includes building, configuring and testing technical solutions that align with partner requirements while adhering to software development principles. Regularly reassess current processes, refining and optimizing where needed.
  • Ensure high-quality processes and deliverables by gaining expert-level knowledge of solution architecture and workflows. Participate in code reviews to uphold high-quality releases and maintain best practices. Oversee technical relationships with multiple vendors, advocating for feature and functionality enhancements in future product releases.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Strategy, Fraud, Business, and IT Production Support, to facilitate seamless releases. Communicate project details, issues, and deliverable timelines effectively to senior management while providing technical support to stakeholder teams as needed.
  • Effectively manage technical teams by providing direction, developmental feedback, coaching, and the necessary tools to ensure success. This includes conducting performance reviews, career development planning, and assigning responsibilities with increasing levels of accountability
  • Oversees implementation applications by analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities, performing complex product customization, and developing implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful performance, security and availability of systems

Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or related degree (Required)
  • Work Experience :

  • 7-10 years of industry experience in quantitative areas such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operation Research, or Computer Engineering with course works in Statistics. (Required).
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Agile Methodologies - Proven success in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools. (Required)
  • Agile Project Management - Experience with Agile backlog / project management tools. (Required)
  • Configuration - Expertise in configuring and testing credit decision engines like FICO Platform, Experian PowerCurve, or similar platforms. (Preferred)
  • Languages - Knowledge and proficient use of Java, JavaScript, NoSQL and (ideally) Decisioning Engine such as FICO Decision Modeler (Structured Query Language). Experience with NoSql technologies such as Aurora. (Preferred)
  • Scripting - Advanced scripting skills in at least one of the following : Python, Perl or Shell. Experience with Source Code Management Tools.(Preferred)
  • Testing - Experience with Performance. Load, Stress and Scalability Testing. Implementation of automated testing frameworks. (Preferred)
  • Cloud Architecture - Broad awareness of open source & AWS Cloud technologies (Required)
  • Licenses and Certifications :

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (Preferred)
  • Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO) (Preferred)
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) (Preferred)
  • At least 18 years of age

    Base Pay Range : $142,900 - $257,800

    Corporate Bonus Target : 20%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and / or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and / or team performance.
