Role Summary
The Director, Portfolio Investment Analysts – Fixed Income role resides within the Investment and Trading Solutions Group and is a member of the Global Trading team. The director manages a team of fixed income portfolio investment analysts (PIAs) who are responsible for the day-to-day portfolio implementation and management of accounts and orders. The director balances the needs of direct reports such as coaching and mentoring with supporting projects and initiatives that advance the larger Investment and Trading Solutions team.
Responsibilities
- Partners with Traders and Global Trading Leadership to identify, define and implement strategy, policy and resources to maximize PIA team performance.
- Partners closely with Portfolio Managers and Fixed Income Leadership to successful enhance PIA Team performance and innovate the modeling process.
- Shares best practices across Global Trading to ensure the successful exchange of ideas.
- Drive team towards goal of superior portfolio modeling execution with an eye towards continuous improvement.
- Develops, implements, and maintains divisional programs, policies, and tools that ensure the continued expansion of our portfolio modeling capabilities and resources.
- Subject matter expert for the PIA team on a daily basis to optimize the team’s impact on the firm and our investment strategies.
- Participates in talent acquisition and associate development initiatives for the PIA team; including recruitment, identifying development needs, providing mentoring and feedback, and leading performance evaluations.

- Manages complex projects to successful completion, frequently in partnership with external teams
Preferred:
- 8 Years T. Rowe Price or related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics
- Complete education of advanced degree or CFA, FRM or CAIA
- Savvy use of technology in combination with a data driven mindset
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
- Ability to quickly process information, draw relevant conclusions, and clearly summarize results.
- Ability to determine priorities, plan, organize and follow-through on assignments
- Knowledge of derivatives and multiple asset classes
- Effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Project management experience
- Prior experience leading a team

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$135,000.00-$165,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$135,000.00-$165,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$135,000.00-$165,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
