Drywaller

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drywaller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Drywaller will play a crucial role in ensuring that walls and ceilings are properly constructed, providing a solid foundation for further finishing work.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install drywall panels to walls and ceilings according to specifications.
• Tape, mud, and finish drywall seams to create a smooth surface ready for painting or other finishes.
• Texturing of walls, and priming and painting.
• Ensure all installations meet building codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
• Perform repairs on damaged drywall and assist in water damage restoration projects.
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Skills

• Proficient in drywall installation techniques including taping, mudding, and sanding.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
