Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker's apprentice to work directly with the master cabinet maker. The ideal candidate will have an interest in woodworking, joinery, and cabinet making. They will have a basic knowledge of woodworking, including hand and power tool usage, how to accurately read a tape measure, and strong basic math skills. This role involves creating high-quality cabinetry, ensuring precision in assembly, and delivering exceptional craftsmanship that meets or exceeds our clients' expectations. Pay is based on experience and competency.
Responsibilities
- Present on time and ready to work.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and finish wood components.
- Assist master cabinet maker with all aspects of production
- Assist in on-site installations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and productivity.
Skills
- Strong ability to measure and read blueprints accurately.
- Proficient in the safe operation of power tools used in woodworking.
- Have strong math aptitude
- Ability to take direction and learn quickly
- Motivated to learn and anticipate next steps in the process
- Proficient in cabinet assembly techniques with a keen eye for detail.
- Have a professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to keep and maintain a good rapport with co-workers and customers
- Positive attitude and interest in learning a lifelong skill
- Dependable transportation to the shop is a must
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
