JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities and Equipment Manager is responsible for leading our maintenance, facilities, and security personnel to oversee and manage our worldwide equipment inventory and facilities. This role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational management, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple personnel and simultaneous operations while prioritizing tasks effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine operations, facilities management, or a related field OR equivalent work experience.
- Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate personnel.
- Proven experience in maintenance and facility/warehouse management, preferably in the maritime or similar industry. Shipboard maintenance and management positions may be suitable experience for this role as well.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to equipment and facility management.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of various industrial equipment and systems.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and maintenance management systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different departments.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and facility support personnel, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage and oversee maintenance of all company equipment (on-site and remote), including portable salvage and spill response equipment, and warehouse facilities
- Provide support for teams in the field during mobilization, troubleshooting of equipment casualties, and demobilization of project equipment spreads. Create and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, scheduling routine inspections, and servicing of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Monitor maintenance costs, track expenses, and manage budgets allocated for repairs.
- Oversee implementation and management of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Enforce all safety regulations and procedures within the maintenance and warehouse facilities, ensuring personnel follow proper safety protocols.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to include equipment downtime, maintenance response time, and repair costs to identify areas for improvement, keeping leadership informed of equipment availability and resources needed to achieve readiness requirements
- Generate regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment condition, and budget status for upper management.
- Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes, implement new technologies, and enhance overall equipment reliability and response readiness.
- Oversee all operations within the warehouse, including inventory, including coordinating mobilization and demobilization of equipment with logistics personnel and ensuring company equipment remains response ready.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SHIFT INFORMATION
The standard work schedule for a Equipment and Facilities Manager is Monday-Friday, 0700-1545; however, this work schedule may vary and include overtime, weekends, and holidays.
