Part-Time Security Officers

T&T Security Services, LLC is seeking reliable and professional security officers for the Jackson, MS area. This position require flexibility, as assignments may change frequently, often with short notice. Officers will work in a variety of environments depending on client needs and must be prepared to travel between job sites, which may be up to 30 minutes to an hour away. Key qualities for success in this role include adaptability, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and patrons by monitoring behavior and conducting patrols.
• Control access at entrances, verify identification, and manage entry when necessary.
• Maintain a courteous and professional attitude while interacting with residents and visitors.
• Report any suspicious activities, disturbances, or property damage.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
• Handle conflicts and resolve situations diplomatically.
• Write detailed and accurate incident reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, local laws, and company policies.
• Travel to different job sites, often with little advance notice, with the possibility of assignments being up to an hour away.
• Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations regarding access, noise levels, and visitor policies.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Physical ability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and manage confrontations.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel up to an hour between job sites.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to last-minute assignments.
• Black suit required for certain assignments.
• In Alabama, security officers are required to be certified. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain the necessary certification to work in the state.
