Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, loss prevention, and conflict management while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and patrons by monitoring behavior and conducting patrols.
- Control access at entrances, verify identification, and manage entry when necessary.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude while interacting with residents and visitors.
- Report any suspicious activities, disturbances, or property damage.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Handle conflicts and resolve situations diplomatically.
- Write detailed and accurate incident reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, local laws, and company policies.
- Travel to different job sites, often with little advance notice, with the possibility of assignments being up to an hour away.
- Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations regarding access, noise levels, and visitor policies.
Skills
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Physical ability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and manage confrontations.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
