SUMMARY:

As an experienced Solar Quality Expert, you will provide technical support for a global customer of TÜV Rheinland in the field of testing, witnessing and inspection for PV products and laboratory activities.

TASK:

  • Acquisition and management of projects in the field of design and safety qualification and certification of solar modules (c-Si)
  • Testing and Witnessing Solar modules based on technical procedure such as IEC EN 61215 / 61730, UL 61215 / 61730 & CAN CSA 22.2 and other standards at a Customer Testing Facility lab
  • Qualification of PV products and components at a photovoltaic test laboratory
  • Conduct remote / onsite audit to the client’s laboratory
  • Review test plans and reports / creating inspection and audit reports
  • Carrying out regular monitoring of production facilities
  • Coordinate with global TUV Rheinland solar team to ensure technical capacity and capabilities for service delivery. Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Provide and exchange technical knowledge to the customer

PROFILE:

  • Must be articulate, professional and be customer service oriented
  • Practical training / work experience in electrical engineering desirable
  • Experience in project management and project documentation
  • High level of quality awareness
  • Self-confident appearance in the role of an independently acting testing institute
  • Expert knowledge for the application of metrological systems for the collection of PV module characteristics (insulation measurement, IV characteristics, EL recordings, etc.)
  • Independent and self-reliant work
  • fluent English, written and spoken
  • Ability to travel approximately up to 15%. May include international travel. Valid Passport and Driver’s License required.

EDUCATION:

  • Solar/Quality Technician or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field, or equivalent education and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 1 to 3 years’ experience in Solar/PV industry
  • Demonstrable experience in the field of PV testing and inspection
