Tasks/Aufgaben
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Test Technician is responsible for conducting detailed compliance testing on consumer products to ensure they meet regulatory standards, industry guidelines, and company specifications. This role involves performing various technical tests, accurately documenting results, and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving product non-conformities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct comprehensive compliance tests on consumer products, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests.
Operate test equipment and instrumentation, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and environmental chambers.
Accurately document test procedures, results, and observations in detailed technical reports.
Interpret and apply regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines relevant to product testing.
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, working closely with engineers and product development teams to resolve compliance-related concerns.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment, ensuring reliability and accuracy of testing procedures.
Follow established laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in using common electronic test equipment and software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
Problem Solving
Ability to work in laboratory environments and conduct formalized test procedures.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
EDUCATION:
Diploma or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to safely handle and operate laboratory equipment.
Capability to occasionally lift and handle equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
