Job SummaryTYLin is looking for a Principal Bridge Engineer to support global projects. The ideal candidate can be located near any of our major offices such as San Francisco, New York, Chicago, etc.Responsibilities & QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities:
Industry expert recognized both within and outside the organization as a master in a professional discipline.
Implements strategic goals established by functional leadership
Establishes operational plans for own job area with short-to mid-term impact on results (e.g., 1-2 years)
Provides measurable input into new processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results
Identify and pursue strategic opportunities with leadership and provides guidance on project acceptance / rejection
Develops and delivers in-house training, contributes to the development of technical standards and criteria for the entire organization
Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with clients, agencies or sub-contractors
Expertise
Experience and knowledge of all typologies of cast-in-place and precast segmental bridges.
Deep foundations experience, scour, ship impact.
Precast yard experience.
R.E. of construction of cable-stay/extradosed bridges and segmental construction Arch bridges.
Preliminary Design experience of Cable-stay and extradosed, and various typologies of Arch bridges.
Geometry Control experience.
Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with 15 years of experience
