Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, HR, the HR Manager role oversees all tactical aspects of an organization's human resources, ensuring compliance, talent management, and employee engagement align with the company’s mission of driving sustainable energy solutions. This role will serve as a strategic partner working under the Vice President, HR implementing policies and programs that foster a high-performance and inclusive culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Talent Management & Acquisition
- Partner with leadership to develop workforce planning strategies that align with business goals.
- Oversee corporate recruitment efforts, ensuring top-tier talent acquisition for key roles.
- Enhance employer branding to attract and retain top professionals in the renewable energy sector.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding process.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Payroll & Benefits
- Oversee payroll processing in coordination with payroll consultants & finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee benefits education, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies.HR
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and industry regulations.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee records and oversee compliance reporting.
Learning & Development
- Implement training programs for leadership, compliance, and employee development.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning strategies.
HR Metrics & Reporting
- Track key HR metrics (turnover, engagement, diversity, etc.) to drive data-informed decisions.
- Provide HR reports and insights to Vice President, HR.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
- HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) or Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5 years of generalist HR experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle multiple high-priority items with efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Expertise in payroll & benefits a plus.
- Experience supporting Corporate HQ teams preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to travel occasionally for training, meetings, or company events.
- Office environment with frequent use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, etc.).
- May require occasional visits to field or operational sites.
