SAFETY OFFICER - QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of combined experience as a superintendent, inspector, QC manager, project manager, or construction manager
- 5 years of safety experience in a construction environment
- Experience with hazard identification and safety compliance
- Valid CQM-C certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification
- Strong familiarity with USACE, EM 385-1-1, and government construction projects
- Compliance with all training, experience, and qualification requirements outlined in EM 385-1-1, Section 01.A.17
- Ability to implement and enforce safety programs in compliance with federal and local regulations
- Ability to work on Charleston Air Force Base
YOUR DAY
Working hours are primarily Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
As our Safety Officer - Quality Control Manager, you oversee QC at the job site and ensure workers comply with all regulations. Attentively, you conduct and document three phases of control for all definable work features and ensure our craftsmanship and materials meet contract specifications. You lead daily inspections and weekly QC meetings, diligently preparing reports and documenting your findings.
You carry out submittal reviews, approvals, and quality assurance inspections as well as implement an effective accident prevention plan to maintain job site compliance. If any accidents happen, you investigate the incident and complete the required OSHA reports and safety records. As you ensure subcontractor compliance, participate in various project meetings, and document your daily observations, you support our success while ensuring every worker stays safe on the job.
