What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fork Lift Operator 30,000 lb capasity position at T2Earth LLC?
General LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR Is responsible for safely, efficiently, and effectively executing the loading, unloading, transferring, and locating raw and finished materials. This person is also responsible for storing or loading outgoing shipments and identifying any potential shortages or quality deficiencies.
The LIFT OPERATOR will be responsible for maintaining alignment with production planning and executing a robust warehouse management process that keeps equipment efficiently supplied with proper raw materials. Retrieval and disposition of raw materials and finished production. This should also include providing the proper identification, labeling and packaging of Incoming, W.I.P. (Work In Process) and Finished, Re-worked, Outgoing Shipments, loading freight and off quality material. Disposition empty totes to the warehouse. Log mechanical or safety performance issues with the lift truck in logbooks and forms.
The job will provide the proper performance to meet and exceed the Effectiveness Criteria.
In addition, it will be the responsibility of the LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR to maintain credible transactions by achieving 100% accuracy of physical inventory counting and system transactions. During the scanning and locating of Input and Output materials constant follow up and verification should be implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure raw materials (lumber, chemicals and additives for production has traceable recordkeeping and records of inventory transactions and FIFO inventories are managed efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure to follow the safety pre-operational checks, and the plant's safety program always.
- Responsible to maintain warehouse’s staging requirements for all materials.
- Ensure proper placement of Process A and B products.
- Correctly operate hand-held scanning device.
- Responsible for Operating equipment in a safe manner as outlined in Job Hazardous Analysis or SOP
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Crew leader and Leadership Team Member of T2Earth. .
- Determines manufacturing and/or distribution priorities based on the production schedule and makes daily assignments including filling vacancies and assigning overtime to adhere to the Customer Delivery date.
- Replace supplies as required.
Safety:
- Promote excellent housekeeping
- Monitor equipment integrity and compliance to design specs.
- Foresight awareness for at risk behavior and conditions
- Encourage participation in proactive safety efforts, 5S, Actively Caring, Observations etc...
- Support and comply with required Lockout Tagout Procedures and SDS
- Must complete SDS/Chemical Right to Know Training.
- Must always wear personal protective equipment while in the designated areas
- Maintain environmental requirements/ permit compliance
- Ensure Proper Lighting, audible and visual Alarms are working properly
- Ensure Safety Procedures and PPE Requirements are maintained
- Review Safety devices that are utilized, E-Stops, Safety Valves, and Bump Stops
- Safety Awareness Items - Slips, Trips, Falls, and other hazards to be aware of in the area
Quality:
- Manage nonconforming product handling
- Perform product flow (path) quality audits
- Perform process specification audits to assure the process is maintaining required Penetration and Recovery performance.
- Become familiar with basic sampling collection for testing quality critical parameters.
- Ensure production paperwork and data entries are 100% accurate.
- Inspect Wood Pallets and Chemical pallets or totes for proper labeling
- Perform Autonomous Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Assist in monitoring test trials and provide samples as requested by test plan
- Select, Transport, and properly locate lumber.
Tools, Equipment, & Material Requirements:
- Responsible for safety equipment issued including safety glasses, hard hat, earplugs, and respirator.
- Responsible for materials and supplies issued.
- Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.
- Must provide required housekeeping and hand tools in proper location
Human Relation:
- Attendance should be predictable and a model
- Communicate to supervisor observed behaviors that could be potential safety, quality and performance risk
