Data Systems SME

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Systems SME with extensive experience in Joint Mission Command Networks and Systems to drive development, integration, and optimization within current and future architectures. Your role is pivotal in guiding and implementing advanced data solutions, ensuring optimal functionality, and providing leadership in the development and execution of integration strategies within the context of military mission command.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of data systems within Joint Mission Command Networks and Systems, aligning with mission objectives and strategic goals.
• Drive integration efforts to optimize data systems within current and future architectures, maximizing efficiency and effectiveness in military mission command operations.
• Implement advanced data solutions to address complex challenges and enhance decision-making capabilities within military mission command environments.
• Ensure optimal functionality of data systems through continuous monitoring, assessment, and refinement of data processes and infrastructure.
• Provide leadership in the development and execution of integration strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless integration across platforms and systems.
• Serve as a technical authority in data systems, offering guidance and expertise to team members and stakeholders on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Be prepared to conduct system vulnerability assessments, monitoring and responding to cyber threats, and providing technical guidance on network infrastructure and security protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including military personnel and technical teams, to understand requirements and communicate integration strategies and solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Army Futures Command leadership and industry partners to develop network integration plans supporting Army, Joint, and Coalition Force future initiatives.
• Create detailed and actionable network integration plans, encompassing objectives, timelines, and success criteria for Army, Joint, and Coalition Force network initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather valuable input, validate assumptions, and refine network integration plans based on evolving needs and requirements.
• Provide expert guidance on the feasibility and practicality of incorporating emerging technologies and innovative concepts into network integration scenarios.
• Ensure that all network integration plans adhere to established standards, compliance requirements, and rigorous safety protocols.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network integration plans, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day requirements provided by the customer, integrate into the core team, and support daily operations.
• Read and provide feedback on Army, Joint, and Coalition Warfighting requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Active Security Clearance.
• Extensive experience in system integration, with a focus on complex and large-scale projects within military contexts.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, middleware solutions, and integration tools specific to Army and Joint Mission Command Systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in network integration, with a focus on military applications.
• Experience working with DOD network systems and information exchanges among automated systems is highly desirable.
• Proficient in network design, configuration, and optimization, with familiarity with a range of network technologies, protocols, and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and operational requirements.
• Capability to work effectively both as a team member and independently.
• Detail-oriented approach to tasks and responsibilities.
• Relevant certifications related to network integration.
• Experience working with Army Futures Command or similar military innovation entities, with a focus on network integration.
• Familiarity with Army, Joint, and Coalition Force operational procedures and protocols, including network architecture and Network Operations (NETOPS).
• Project management experience in a technology or defense-related context, particularly in the integration of network systems into broader military operations.
• Demonstrated success in integrating network systems within military networks and operations.
