We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to wear multiple hats—from conducting production QC inspections to leading ISO processes and audits. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll be involved in every step of the quality process.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Hands-On Quality Inspections & Testing:
- Perform in-process QC inspections during production runs and final product inspections before shipment.
- Conduct dimensional, functional, and material testing using calipers, micrometers, gages, CMM, and other quality lab equipment.
- Verify and inspect incoming materials, components, tooling, and fixtures for compliance with specifications and proper records retention.
- Perform inline production QC testing using custom testing equipment such leak testing station for water storage containers
✅ ISO Compliance & Auditing:
- Conduct internal quality audits and support ISO 9001 compliance.
- Maintain and improve ISO-related documentation, procedures, and training.
- Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for any non-conformities found during audits or production.
✅ Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving:
- Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality defects.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for product or process issues.
- Develop and implement process documentation and best practices for quality control.
- Leading the improvements and additional buildout phases of the onsite Quality Lab including sourcing/specifying equipment, etc.
✅ Equipment & Documentation Management:
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and lab equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Keep detailed records of inspections, non-conformances, and quality reports.
- Assist in developing new test methods and measurement techniques for evolving customer requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical specifications.
· Experience using manual measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gages, etc.).
· Strong attention to detail and ability to document inspections clearly.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Preferred:
· Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality).
· ASQ Certification (or willingness to obtain).
· Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
· Experience with ISO 9001 processes and internal audits.
· Familiarity with CMM operation, troubleshooting, and programming.
· Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.
