We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Worker for Dorm Services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of fulltime employment in a position with comparable responsibilities and experience in all areas of maintenance to include systems maintenance, trouble shooting, lock/safe maintenance, and dormitory maintenance within the past five (5) years.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems including plumbing, washing machines, dryers, electrical, pumping systems, freezers, refrigerators, electronic control systems, digital control systems, Heating, and Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, steam system, safes, and locks.
- Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Utilize logic controllers for monitoring and controlling equipment performance.
- Operate an Ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
- Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs made and parts used.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.
- Proficiency in residential painting techniques.
- Experience with welding processes and fabrication skills.
- Ability to read and understand schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with logic controllers for operational efficiency.
- Competence in using an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
- Supervisory skills to oversee maintenance projects effectively.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for clear communication within the team.
