Position: Road Service Specialist
Location: Onsite | Eagan, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm CST
Pay: $22-25 hourly

What will a typical day look like?
- Take calls from drivers and vendors in need of scheduled or emergency maintenance and repairs.
- Help set up and order parts, tires, service, preventative services needed
- Assist and set up vendor negotiation and selection for dedicated services.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems over the phone. Work with drivers, vendors, and company shops to complete repairs. Record breakdowns by using maintenance computer system
- Work with Claims, Safety departments to ensure accidents and incident repairs are completed and recorded properly
- Negotiate pricing for parts, and service daily, to operate cost efficiently
- Ensure warranty guidelines are followed when making repair decisions
- Creating purchase orders and virtual payment for outside vendors
- Work closely with other members of the Maintenance department in strategic planning and organizing
- Communicate breakdowns, accidents, and incidents promptly to fellow Coordinators, Operations, and Safety
- Manage vendor online portals i.e., Loves, Travel Centers of America, Michelin, Bridgestone, Trimble, International On-Command
- Manage OOS trailers, and tractors with repair vendors to expedite repair process
- Assist Admin with billing credits, duplicates, or corrections
- Complete necessary forms and follow process to request new vendors and location information
Note: These are the major functions and accountabilities required of the position and are the predominant criteria by which performance will be assessed. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
What would make you a good candidate?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Transportation and fleet maintenance experience preferred
- Technical skills and/or knowledge of semi-truck and commercial trailers
- Knowledge of Windows-based software packages, maintenance management software preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of U.S. geography
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems with little or no guidance.
- Have a close eye for detail and cost management
- Be able to relate to the needs of the drivers, customer, operations, and other related depts. and effectively
