Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for helping set team goals in alignment with organizational objectives. Warehouse Leads participate in the team's work, leading by example through active contribution to projects or tasks. Additionally, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting operational staff in coordination and support of the management team.
What does a typical day in this role look like?
- Coordinate the movement of materials and products throughout the warehouse to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure shop floor operations are running smoothly and drive maintenance priorities in coordination and support of the management team.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable regulations.
- Act as a point of escalation for operational issues, providing timely resolution of problems related to inventory, shipping, and staffing.
- Pack products securely and appropriately for shipping, ensuring that products are protected and labeled correctly.
- Load and unload trucks, move materials within the warehouse, and ensure materials are properly secured.
- Follow company policies for the safe handling and storage of materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by following housekeeping and safety protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What would make you a good fit for the role?
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience in implementing safety programs.
- Proficient in using computers and inventory management software.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and lower oddly shaped packaged automotive parts
- Ability to push and pull a pallet jack
- Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds at times
