- Oversee the planning and execution of daily warehouse activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse staff, including forklift drivers and dispatchers
- Evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure that the warehouse operates in accordance with all safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety by training staff on the correct use of equipment and handling of materials.
- Manage the warehouse budget, monitoring expenses and finding ways to reduce costs while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Track key performance metrics (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, costs, and customer service levels, and take corrective actions when needed.
- Address operational issues promptly, including shipment delays, inventory shortages, and staff conflicts.
- Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations, implementing process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to set goals and develop strategies for meeting warehouse and company objectives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and inventory software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
