At TA Instruments the Material Handler position is essential to our Shipping and Receving group in order to ensure our world class customer service.
- Pulling parts as detailed on pick lists for manufacturing and vendor supply orders. Sorting and placing stock on racks, shelves, or other storage areas according to predetermined sequence such as product type, size, code, etc.
- Receiving, verifying, and stocking materials from suppliers and/or service returns in accordance with the documentation provided by the sender
- Shipping - pick, pack, and route materials through approved carriers.
- Participating in the daily cycle count of inventory by accurately counting a prescribed set of parts
- Performing general warehouse tasks as required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in order to perform required tasks
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to key in data using computerized inventory management system (SAP)
- Use of all safety equipment is mandatory and accommodations for nonconformance will not be made. safety shoes,safety glassses and hard hat.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work activities to handle multiple assignments
- In performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to be trained to safely operate a stand-up reach truck within the first three months of employment
