O ur client located in Waukegan, IL, is one of the largest privately owned co-packers in the bar and snack industry.
Position Summary :
Perform maintenance and repair on material handling and packing equipment. Implementation and installation of equipment, production lines and custom solutions. Responsible for line setup and tear down. Diagnosis and repairs or adjustments of machines during production runs. Verification of line clearances and setups to ensure quality standards are met. Individual(s) in this position are responsible for food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities :
- Automated conveyor and equipment repair and maintenance.
- Comprehensive electrical diagnosis and wiring.
- Custom design, building and implementation of in-house solutions.
- Extensive diagnosis and repairs of packaging equipment.
- Robotics repairs and maintenance.
- Repair and rebuild materials handling and packaging equipment as needed.
- Perform and close out work order requests with CMMS software via computer or tablet.
- Review production schedule and perform machine set-up, tear-down, and necessary adjustments.
- Lead production changeovers and setups.
- Complete all repairs in a timely manner to minimize lost production time.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks during production and take appropriate corrective action.
- Perform and close out work order requests within CMMS software via computer or tablet.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes.
- Order, catalog, and track materials, tools, and parts inventory necessary for maintenance and operations.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Verify and sign off online-clearances and line-setups to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures per company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all GMPs consistently (Good manufacturing practices).
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Good verbal communication with Supervisors, Co-workers, Customers and Vendors.
- Attending meetings and on-site visits with vendors and support technicians.
- Other maintenance, repair, installation and training activities as instructed.
