Our Food Packaging Division integrates primary filling with secondary packaging we are proudly one of the largest privately owned co-packers in the bar and snack industry. Dedicated to the success of our customers, brands crush growth and margin objectives with our manual, semi-automated, highly automated custom robotic and intellifeed equipment for ultimate flexibility. With over 550,000 square feet of re-pack (closed food) space and over 25 production lines, we leverage automation to reduce food packaging costs.
Position Summary :
Plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, storage and distribution of all items. Ensure all products and supplies are located and distributed to their assigned area in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Individual(s) in this position are responsible for food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities :
Ø Oversee preparation of BOL, check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain quantity, destination, and routing is correct.
Ø Oversee receiving of incoming materials and / or outbound shipments verifying information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
Ø Monitor the loading and unloading of all materials into the receiving department, ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection; confirm receiving reports accurately report material received.
Ø Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
Ø Oversee effective and efficient movement of materials from receiving to the warehouse ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are met within the logistics operations.
Ø Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
Ø Monitor inventory levels, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and handling of goods in the warehouse.
Ø Monitor and measure both outbound and inbound shipments for accuracy of reporting in both BMC computer system and customers computer systems, (when required).
Ø Maintain database, prepare routine reports.
Ø Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
Ø Provide training and mentorship to logistics team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment with 2 years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of bar code technology and electronic data interchange.
Thorough understanding of forklift operations and procedures.
Experience with inventory systems, productivity measurements, manufacturing philosophies, and material handling equipment is desired. PC literacy- experience using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook; SAP experience a plus
